Kettlebell Training
Anything you can do with a dumbbell, you can do with a kettlebell — only better! These spherical cast iron weights with handles offer great multi-joint exercises that combine strength training and muscular endurance with cardio while also improving your mobility and coordination. However, kettlebell training comes with an important caveat. You have to learn how to of these exercises properly with proper form and mechanics so the movements are smooth, fluid, and easy on your joints and spine.
And that’s where we come in! Our 6-week kettlebell training program will give you a solid introduction to the kettlebell. This course will give you the muscle-memory and understanding of body mechanics to do basic kettlebell exercises safely, properly, and injury-free. The starting with the basic kettlebell swing, working on those often neglected posterior chain of muscles – your hamstrings, gluten, back, and shoulders — that are so important for staying healthy and enjoying virtually any sport or recreational activity. We then cover a series of exercises including the deadlift, press, and the graceful multiple-motion whole-body “Turkish get-up,” an exercise that will make you a force to be reckoned with.
Kettlebells are a great overall strengthening program to add to your routine. Kettlebell training not only increases your strength, but also helps you with your speed and quickness. It’s true that functional training can make you a better skier, golfer, soccer player, hiker, or whatever else you do outside of the gym.
